I was very excited to get an email a few weeks ago from our wedding photographer that she was running a special for $150 to do a 2 hour photo shoot outdoors that included a cd with all the photos. It was perfect timing as I'd been hoping to do exactly that and we got it booked right away!
The photo shoot was interesting to say the least. I got a little overly obssessed with where to take the photos...pumpkin patch or mountains? I finally decided on the mountains which turned into Golden near the creek with some foothills poking out in the back here & there. Then came what to wear...coordinating but not too matchy, something in the black family but not all black...sheesh there are a lot of decisions (and outfits) when having pictures taken. Or maybe that's just me overthinking, at least that's what Anthony told me.
Anyhoo...The most interesting part of the shoot was Holden. Trying to take 2 hours of family photos outside with a 19 month old (oh, doesn't my baby sound soo old?!) was quite the feat, and then add in way too early of a nap that wasn't long enough, hot sun, and us great parents not thinking of giving him a snack halfway through and all of a sudden you have a very fussy toddler! Needless to say the whole thing did not go well, Holden didn't want to be put down for half of it and would not look at Jamie (our photographer) and definitely wouldn't smile. Out of 256 pictures he might be smiling in 3. And there is only one picture where we are all looking at the camera at the same time smiling...unreal.
Without further ado, here are some of the pictures:
