For quite a few years now, Anthony & I have taken a long weekend trip with his parents for the Labor Day weekend. It's a tradition that we have all enjoyed and really look forward to, and this year was no different. Years past, we have gone to Taos, Grand Lake, and Steamboat Springs, - we've also done trips to Aspen, Colorado Springs and Estes Park with Anthony's parents (Steve & Sheri) so we had to get creative this year to find some where new. Luckily we had some friends recently visit Crested Butte, which is a 4 hour drive from Denver, and they highly suggested it - we are glad we took their advice and truly enjoyed our time in Crested Butte. Each year we have rented a house and...knock on wood...we have had great luck each & every time with the condition of the properties. This year was no different - I loved our house - it was quaint and adorable and had absolutely fabulous touches...and it was less than a block from the main street which had tons of great restaurants and shops.
The house didn't have a bathtub, so we got some good use out of the farm sink for Holden's nightly baths! Click for more pictures: Bath Pictures
There was a really great park on the other side of the town that we took Holden to, I just couldn't get over how gorgeous it was - Mountains in all directions! Click for more pictures: Park Pictures
One night Anthony and I took Holden on a walk around the block, which was really fun as Holden found a bike rack that he loved to climb through. He also found a new friend on the trip, Winnie the Pooh, which he really loves to carry around. Click for more pictures: Walk Pictures

| Holden had so much fun playing around the rental house! He loved peeking in this empty cabinet, and climbing all over the stairs! He got a bit bored at times, so I found him some new "toys" in the kitchen. More pictures: In the house |
One of the days we went to Black Canyon of the Gunnison - This was an amazing site to see and the pictures absolutely do not do it justice. This was in the middle of nowhere...a very gorgeous place!
Check this out, so pretty: Canyon Pictures!
Overall it was a fabulous trip, we are already looking forward to next year...and although it was sad to leave, this was our view for the drive home!!

Wow! Gorgeous! Love all the pics! Especially the park pics - Holden looks so grown up!
